Cortina d'Ampezzo is the queen of the Dolomites, and one of the most renowned alpine places: known for its winter and summer tourism, Cortina hosted the most relevant events linked to sport and mountain, such as the Olympic Games in 1956.
Rising in the wide sunny valley that brings its same name, just in front of the Dolomites, Cortina in winter as in summertime has a particular charm due to its unique mountains, its pure nature, the incredible chance to go skiing at the Dolomites Superski, one of the most important ski districts all over the world, and to the excursions in these mountains, world heritage of Unesco, but also for the presence of international jet set personalities and VIP.
It's also possible to reach Cortina d'Ampezzo by coach, thanks to Autostradale facilities providing coaches leaving from Milan, at Lampugnano bus station near to the metro station. Many stops are made before arriving in Cortina: Sesto San Giovanni, Dalmine, Brescia, then Bressanone and along the villages of the Plan di Corones.
